The Adventurer: Space Between the Stars

The Adventurer: Space Between the Stars is a journalling game for a single player based on the popular journalling game The Adventurer.

It is a game about about drifting quietly from planet to planet through the great black expanse. 

Once you have arrived at an anchorage it is time to get out of your ship and feel the ground beneath your feet again.  Who lives on this tiny chunk of rock in space? What do they do? What is happening? 

Eventually it will be time to take to the sky again and find a new planet to experience.

All you will need to play is:

• A standard deck of cards (jokers lost somewhere aeons ago)
• A pen and some paper, or some other way to record your journal.
• A little time

By separating the cards into piles by suit and drawing from them you will slide from planet to planet and meet varied beings that inhabit them. It is a game about creating a story as much about the universe you are in as it is about your own experiences.

Gameplay

This gamevery closely follows the gameplay of the original game, The Adventurer. For those not in the know, here is a good video that explains how the original is played.

The big difference with The Adventurer: Space between the Stars is that instead of using just one card table,it uses two.

One card table has you sitting alone in your ship, quietly sliding from one planet to another. Once you land, the other guides you gently as you explore your new surroundings.
